Stone Temple Pilots 10-29-10 with BRMC Nokia Theatre Los Angeles, CA

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS

From start to finish, STP were firing on all cylinders Friday night at the Nokia Theatre. They sounded great and tore through a high energy set of songs...they played everything I wanted to hear..including my two faves, Dead and Bloated (with Scott's son doing the megaphone intro) and Wicked Garden. The new songs also fit nicely with the rest of their catalog. The band was tight and the comradery between all of them was apparent..the looks, smiles and hugs- total bromance! At times Scott would be back to back leaning on Dean or Robert. They've been through a lot and it was beautiful to see them back in top form!

The Rudy Coby Experiment

The Rudy Coby Experiment, El Rey Theatre October 23, 2010

It's magic! It's science! It's retro! It's futuristic! The coolest magician on earth- Rudy Coby!

I attended the Rudy Coby Experiment at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles last night. The show was mind boggling and visually stunning. Sometimes funny, sometimes creepy and occasionally gross (at one point he hammered a nail into his face)...but always entertaining! Hypnotron 2000, Elvis, bombs, ESP, dangerous card tricks, stretching limbs and scary clowns- this is a show you have to see!

Frank Olivier opened the show with some unbelievable juggling!

Tony Hawk Foundation: Stand Up For Skateparks

It may have been raining, but that didn't stop celebrities from attending the annual fundraiser benefiting the Tony Hawk Foundation! Stand Up For Skateparks was the place to be in Beverly Hills on Sunday October 17, 2010. Attendees got to preview the new Activision video game, Tony Hawk: SHRED, and were also treated to a Vert demo with Tony Hawk on his personal ramp AND a performance by Jane's Addiction!

The Foundation was established in 2002 by professional skateboarder Tony Hawk to promote and provide funds for high-quality public skateparks in low-income areas throughout the USA. Thus far, the Foundation has awarded over 3.2 million dollars to 463 communities. This year's event included a special Pledge Drive for a skatepark in Long Beach, CA where there is a grassroots community effort to build a park.

If you'd like to learn more or make a donation, please visit the Foundation's Website at www.tonyhawkfoundation.org
