A few days ago, I posted some photos of Velvet Revolver that I took in 2007. Today, I continued my project of going through film and saving images to my hard drive. I found a plastic bag with a ton of red confetti, film and more photos that I'd forgotten about! Guns N Roses, Universal Amphitheater, Los Angeles, CA. December 19 & 20, 2006.

Velvet Revolver- 7-5-07 Blast from the past!
I was just going through some boxes and came across old discs with images from an old film camera I used to have. Low and behold, I found some images that I forgot taking! First up, is Velvet Revolver from their show at the Whisky on July 5, 2007. I shot most from the balcony and the images are very grainy...but some of you may enjoy. :)

Eddie Vedder Wiltern 7/8/11
Eddie Vedder brought his ukulele, and some friends (Glen Hansard, John Densmore and at times, a string quartet) to a packed Wiltern Theater last night. He played a lengthy set pulling from his two solo albums, Pearl Jam's catalog and a handful of covers. In between songs he entertained us with stories about everything from nooses to an unusual wedding ceremony that he attended when he was living in a tiny apartment in San Diego. The sound quality was amazing and Ed's voice gave me chills!
I must say I was very happy with the crowd. Aside from a few comments yelled out in between songs, everyone was there to hear the music. Which isn't always the case in this city that I love! Towards the end of the show, Ed and Glen stepped away from the mics, came to the edge of the stage and used the vocal chords that their mamas gave them to project into the theater. The song was Sleepless Nights by the Everly Brothers and you could hear a pin drop the crowd was so quiet!
I couldn't have been happier with the setlist. He played my personal favorite songs off of Ten (Porch), Vitalogy (Immortality), Into the Wild soundtrack (Guaranteed).
John Densmore came out for Long Road, Wishlist and later during a second encore, Rockin' In The Free World!
Here is the setlist from the message board that I found on PearlJam.com

Hootenanny 2011
For the second year, I headed to Orange County for the Hootenanny festival. And, for the second year, I cursed the long drive (due to traffic only) and got lost! But, I was very glad that I went and had a great time! How could I not? The line-up was great, the people were gorgeous and the sun was blazing! I got there barely in enough time to get a few shots of John Doe...but was locked and loaded for the rest of the day.
