Tom Waits Esotouric 5/28/11

If you live in Los Angeles, or are planning to visit, I highly recommend checking out Esotouric Tours. They have a number of different tours that showcase this awesome city in a unique and interesting way. I recently went on the Tom Waits inspired tour (Crawling Down Cahuenga: Tom Waits' LA) and had a great time! David Smay, author of Tom Waits' Swordfishtrombones, was our host for the day, along with Esotouric's co-founders Kim Cooper and Richard Schave.

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day:

Double exposed photo- Former Zoetrope Studio on the left, Sunset Sound on the right.

Troubadour

St.Moritz Hotel and former Ski Room (from Red Shoes "Santa Claus is drunk in the Ski Room") It's now just called "The Bar".

This is a restaurant that Tom used to frequent...now called Tribal Cafe. Then, it was Traveler's Cafe.

At one point during our adventure, we found ourselves in the alley where "In The Neighborhood" was shot.

There were several other locations, but seems as though my lomography camera had a mind of its own!
